The Sweet Iron Eggbut Single Jointed TRUST Equestrian bit is an olive bit. The olive bit is considered the simplest and most common bit. The rings do not move, which allows better stability in the mouth and directly with the reins. Since the corners of the horse's mouth cannot be pinched, this bit can be used without washers.

 

The Sweet Iron TRUST Equestrian material is made of iron and is very well known for its blue color, obtained by heating during production. When the Sweet Iron bit comes into contact with the air (moisture), it develops a rusty surface which has a sweet taste and which will naturally stimulate the horse's salivation. The horse therefore foams more, which allows it to increase the acceptance of the bit. This oxidation process changes the blue color of the TRUST Equestrian bit to silver/brown. When time does not wear the Sweet Iron bit, an orange/brown layer of rust appears. This layer can easily be removed by rubbing the bit with a damp cloth. This orange layer is not harmful. Sweet Iron bits are suitable for all horses and help horses lather more.

 

Single Jointed TRUST Equestrian bits are single jointed bits. This bit exerts less pressure on the tongue than a double (or more) jointed bit. This bit acts mainly on the sides of the tongue. The single joint bit is considered the standard bit.
