Linseed oil by Horse Master is composed of many vegetable oils with many benefits in horse feed:
- They are an energy source: Adding oil increases the energy density of a ration without increasing the food volume. In energy equivalent, 1L of vegetable oil = 3 kg of barley!
- They intervene in the muscular metabolism: The use of lipids (oils) in the ration makes it possible to save the stocks of glycogen (source of energy in the muscle) and thus to delay the appearance of tiredness during an effort.
- They are sources of omega 3 and 6: Omega 3 and 6 are “essential fatty acids”, that is to say that they cannot be synthesized by the body.
Linseed oil provides a regular supply of fatty acids rich in omega 3, 6 and 9. This excellent quality oil promotes weight gain in lean horses and has a beneficial effect on hair and skin. This care product is also suitable for horses in training for which the energy density of the ration should be increased.
