Derfen Clear by Animaderm is the lotion for horses with thick skin or thickened by scratching which calms scratching of the mane and tail following summer itch attacks. This care product has a long-lasting effectiveness (3-7 days).
First of all, you have to check which category of skin the horse belongs to: thin or thick. For this, refer to the photos above. If the horse's skin is thin, it is better to use Derfen Original.
Itching caused by summer dermatitis or insects is a real pain. And when the scratching areas are located on parts that are difficult to access for the horse, such as the tail and the mane, we often observe real drops in morale in the horse. Derfen Clear is the Animaderm formula suitable for thick, thickened or cardboard skin. Indicated for less supple skin, Derfen Clear lotion is composed of ultra-calming and considerably moisturizing oils that deeply penetrate even the toughest skin. Thanks to its water-free formula, 1 to 2 applications of Derfen Clear per week are enough to durably calm the itching sensations and to repair damaged skin even in the event of rain or heavy perspiration. Derfen Clear should not be applied every day or for prevention.

- Brush lightly the area aim with a soft brush
- Shake the bottle to obtain a homogeneous mixture
- Apply the product between the hairs then massage gently using gloves
Each skin being different, the renewal of the application can vary from one horse to another: between 4 and 10 days. Watch carefully when your horse starts scratching again. This will give you the average delay between 2 applications that best matches it.
