Chondro + by ESC Laboratoire has been formulated by our experts to strengthen the horse's joints and facilitate mobility. Association of 3 chondroprotectors: Glucosamine, Chondroitin and MSM with recognized beneficial properties on the joints: Glucosamine is a molecule naturally present in the animal body and especially in cartilage. It is synthesized in the body from glucose, fructose and glutamine, an amino acid. Glucosamine slows down the deterioration of the cartilage in all joints and promotes the lubricating action of synovial fluid, the natural lubricant of joints which helps them function. This molecule also reduces the destruction of certain cartilage molecules and improves the vascularization of the bone, which provides better flexibility under the cartilage. When the glucosamine production process goes wrong, cartilage deteriorates and inflammatory phenomena such as arthritis and osteoarthritis can develop. The level of glucosamine decreases with age, it is therefore advisable to have an additional intake in order to guarantee flexibility and elasticity in the aging animal. Glucosamine is therefore mainly known to soothe pain linked to joint disorders in animals. It nevertheless has a preventive action and has no regenerative effect in the event of advanced problems. Chondroitin is synthesized by the body from glucosamine. Present in joints, it plays a role in maintaining the structure and elasticity of cartilage, tendons, skin and artery walls. This molecule also contains sulfur-containing amino acids. They are essential for the production of cartilage molecules. Chondroitin helps rebuild cartilage and partially blocks enzymes that break it down. It also promotes water retention and cartilage elasticity, helping to ensure adequate shock absorption. Furthermore, this molecule contributes to the synthesis of glycoaminoglycans and proteoglycans, which are constituent elements of the formation of cartilage. Chondroitin is recommended in cases of sustained stress on the joints, but also during growth and old age.
MSM or methyl-sulfonyl-methane is a natural source of bioavailable organic sulfur, i.e. well assimilated by the body. It comes from a process of oxidation of natural raw materials. Sulfur is present in the collagen of the skin, joints and blood vessels. It also plays a critical role in the protection of the tissues constituting joints, tendons, cartilage, the epidermis, etc. Thanks to its sulfur content, MSM is recognized for its action during inflammation of connective tissues and would also play a critical role in protecting the cells constituting cartilage. The formula of this care product enriched with Turmeric and Vitamin C with powerful antioxidant properties. Black pepper facilitates the absorption of curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric.
