Biotin plays a fundamental role in cell growth. It participates in the synthesis of keratin (vitamin which contributes to the structure of horn, hair and mane) through amino acids.
Biotin is not stored in the body, which requires an intake per treatment of around 20 mg per day.
Zinc (3b607) Hydrated glycine zinc chelate is a mineral that allows the horse's body to increase the assimilation of biotin.
Most of the medicinal properties of horsetail are due to its high content of silica (salicylic acid), a substance which is involved in the formation of connective tissue by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin which are the basis for the production of horn and hair.
