Since 1978, ESC Laboratoire has been a stalwart in the equestrian products industry. Founded by Mr. and Mrs. Mathorel, the company embarked on its journey by crafting high-quality Laurel oil-based ointments, proudly free from tar. As the years unfolded, the product line expanded to encompass a diverse array of offerings, including various ointments, hoof care products, limb lotions, skincare solutions, phytotherapeutic dietary supplements, and much more. Under new leadership since 2016, ESC Laboratoire continues its trajectory of growth while unwaveringly upholding its commitment to quality and efficacy. The company has earned a formidable reputation not only in France but also on the international stage. The legacy of ESC Laboratoire is characterized by innovation and dedication to the well-being and performance of equine companions. In 1978, the journey of ESC Laboratoire began with the establishment of the company by Mr. and Mrs. Mathorel. Their pioneering spirit led them to create ointments using high-quality Laurel oil, distinguished by their tar-free composition. Over the years, the product range expanded to include an assortment of ointments, hoof care products, limb lotions, skincare solutions, phytotherapeutic dietary supplements, and more. In 1990, ESC Laboratoire ventured into the world of hoof care, introducing the Hippercorne, formulated with sweet almond oil renowned for its horn-regenerating properties. The company also delved into creating lotions and preparations to alleviate equine limb discomfort after exertion, such as Equitendon gel, Astrinjambe, and Hippo tendons plus. The product lineup further diversified with offerings for skin maintenance, shampoos, disinfectant solutions, wound care creams, treatments for various equine conditions, warts, and insect repellent lotions. In 2000, recognizing the burgeoning interest in phytotherapeutic complementary products among riders and horse owners, ESC Laboratoire capitalized on its expertise by establishing a specialized branch in phytotherapy and phytonutrition. The company now utilizes over 100 different plant species, enriched with vitamins, minerals, seaweed, and trace elements, to craft more than 90 varieties of dietary supplements. These products complement the equine basic diet, contributing to the overall well-being of horses. In 2016, the company underwent a transition as its founders passed the torch. Caroline de Rosière, a passionate equestrian convinced of the company's product quality, assumed leadership after 18 years in the agro-food industry. Her vision aimed to amplify the company's expertise while preserving its time-tested manufacturing methods and recipes that had built the company's reputation. In late 2017, Marc Burin des Roziers, an equine veterinarian and an expert in horse care products, joined the company. His technical knowledge and contributions in formulation, quality control, and raw material selection further enhanced the company's proficiency in equine phytotherapy. Today, ESC Laboratoire continues its journey of expansion, staying true to its standards of quality and efficacy. Its products are now esteemed by numerous veterinarians, breeders, and farriers across France, Spain, Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland. The company is poised for growth while remaining dedicated to its pursuit of delivering exceptional products that cater to the health and performance of horses.
